08:00 Meet at your hotel in Hanoi, proceed to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta. This is the great chance to explore the architecture of hundred-year-old houses while wander or cycle along its narrow alleyways, have some talks with locals living in the ancient houses to understand the daily life of residents...

 

After having lunch served at a local house, you may like to take a leisure cycling around the village. This is a chance for you to have nice pictures of buffaloes, bamboo and farmers at rice paddies. Visit the ancient Mong Phu temple, Mia Pagoda… the typical ancient Vietnamese architectures in the Red River delta.

Return to Hanoi. On the way, stop at Tay Phuong Pagoda. The pagoda offers beautiful architecture and ancient and unique sculptures. It was one of the first pagodas built in Vietnam and has magnificent dragons and demons carved into the wooden roof. From here continue back to Hanoi, a 45-minute drive.
