Duong Lam is a commune of Son Tay town, Hanoi and  becomes the first ancient village in Vietnam with a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years. Today, Duong lam village still retains most of the basic characteristics of a village of Vietnam with port village, trees, courtyard, temples, well, water fields… 

Thay (Master) Pagoda is a Buddhist temple in Quoc Oai District (formerly Ha Tay Province, now part of Hanoi), Vietnam. It is also known as  "Temple of Heavenly Blessings" which was established in the 11th century during  the Ly dynasty. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Vietnam and well maintained by the monks.

  • 08.00: Guide and car pick up guests at hotel then transfer to Duong Lam ancient village about 50km away from Hanoi
  • 09.30: Arrive Duong Lam, visit village gate, Mong Phu communal house, some ancient houses and enjoy local products: rice wine, rice cake. Go around the village to visit some cultural and historical vestiges in Duong Lam such as: Mia Pagoda,
  • 12.30: Enjoy a special vietnamese lunch in an ancient house.
  • 15.00: Stopover on the way to visit Tay Phuong pagoda - the best example of old typical pagoda in the Northern of Vietnam, special with Arhan statues. You can also visit the nearby local village known for making bamboo dragonflies, a kind of souvenir products exported to many countries around the world.
