3D Ba Be - Ban Gioc (HAN/OP-15)

Located 250 km away from Hanoi and 70 km away from Bac Kan’s center, Ba Be National Parkbelongs to Ba Be district in Bac Kan province. This is a precious natural heritage of Vietnam, a complete and complicated system of primitive forest on stone mountains which are surrounded by tranquil lakes. The national park covers a total area of 23.240 ha which houses 417 types of plant and 299 types of animal. There are a plenty of precious and endangered species that inhabit in this region.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of Vietnam’s most impressive natural sights. Located in the northeastern province of Cao Bang, the falls are 30 metres high and 300 metres across, making Ban Gioc the widest – but not the highest – waterfall in the country. The falls occur on the Quay Son River, a beautiful jade-blue body of water, flowing through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves, surrounded by limestone pinnacles.

Day 1: HANOI – BABE NATIONAL PARK

Meals: L D

06.00-07.00 am: Pick up at your hotel, depart from Hanoi to Babe National Park.

09.00 am: Stop for a rest at Bo Dau village where is very famous with a special cake named “Chung cake” and you will have your self-breakfast here.

10.00 am: Visit Duom Temple, where people use for worshiping the leader of Tay ethnic – named Duong Tu Minh, who was prince consort twice under the Ly dynasty.

12.00 pm: Arrival in Cho Ra town, you have luch at the restaurant.

1.30 pm: Arrival at Buoclom wharf, embark the boat to Babe lake. Take a boat-trip along the Nang river. Stop atPuong cave, a small one but very famous with thousand of bats.

3.30 pm: Get in Babe lake. Visit to Anma temple, Widow islet then enjoy the bamboo rafting and swim in the fresh water in the summer.

5.30 pm: Hiking to the homestay (about 1km) in Pac Ngoi village, a small village of Tay people (Tay ethnic). Check in homestay and rest.

7.30 pm: Have dinner, enjoy traditional Tay musical performance (excluded). You can share the fee of show with other tourists.

9.00 pm: Overnight at homestay (the house on the stilts).

Day 2: BABE LAKE – BAN GIOC WATERFALL – NGUOM NGAO CAVE

06.00 am: Breakfast at homestay and relax with a cup of coffee (self-pay)

07.00 am: Check out and get in car to go to Cao Bang. You will conquer some beautiful passes such as: Wind pass, Khau Khang pass, Tai Ho Sin Pass, Cao Bac pass, Kneeling horse pass constantly…

11.30 am: Have lunch at Quang Uyen town.

1.300 pm: Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall with 53m height, divided into 3 floors and it’s considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam and also the 4th largest waterfall in the top 10 most spectacular waterfalls in the world which are located on the border between the two countries.

3.00 pm: Visit Nguom Ngao cave, one of the most beautiful caves in the North of Vietnam with 3km long in total. It has a majestic stalactites and stalacmites system. Back to Cao Bang

6.30 pm: Arrival in Cao Bang. Check in hotel.

7.30 pm: Have dinner. You will be free at night. Overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.
